Teaching and teacher development

Dr. Annemarie van Stee currently serves as Theme Leader in Teacher Development and Teacher Well-Being at the Radboud Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC). In this role, she meets many excellent university teachers. She aims to foster exchange of best practices between them, also across faculties. One of her own initiatives is to enable teachers at Radboud University to participate in structured peer group reflection (‘intervisie’ in Dutch). Peer group reflection fosters the professional development of teachers and their sense of connectedness to each other. As theme leader, Van Stee also serves on the board of the TLC and represents Radboud teachers at policy meetings concerning teacher development.

Van Stee has taught philosophy at all levels, from first year students to research master students. She has extensive experience with teaching philosophy and ethics to non-philosophy students, e.g. students in cognitive neuroscience, religious studies, pedagogy and psychology.

She also serves as mentor for teachers at her faculty (Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies) who are enrolled in the university teaching qualification process.
